BMS-570511 is a non-steroidal selective androgen receptor modulator (SARM) developed by Bristol Myers Squibb. It was designed to selectively bind to the androgen receptor with high affinity, aiming to promote anabolic effects in muscle and bone while minimizing androgenic effects on tissues like the prostate and sebaceous glands. The compound has been investigated for the treatment of conditions involving muscle loss, such as sarcopenia and cancer cachexia, as well as for osteoporosis. Although it progressed into early clinical trials, the development program was eventually discontinued by the sponsor.
