Overview

BMS-813160 is an investigational small molecule drug developed as a dual antagonist of the C-C chemokine receptor types 2 and 5 (CCR2 and CCR5). By specifically binding to and inhibiting both CCR2 and CCR5, it blocks their activation and downstream signal transduction pathways. This mechanism may inhibit inflammatory processes, angiogenesis, tumor cell migration, proliferation, invasion, and monocyte/macrophage infiltration. These receptors are implicated in inflammation, autoimmune diseases, and are overexpressed in certain cancers. The drug is being developed primarily for oncology indications including solid tumors (such as pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma), metastatic colorectal cancer, non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma), gastric cancer, renal cell carcinoma as well as diabetic nephropathies. It is administered orally.
