Overview

BMS-905 is a potent, selective, orally active dual antagonist of Toll-like receptor 7 (TLR7) and Toll-like receptor 8 (TLR8). Developed by Bristol Myers Squibb, it is a structural analog of afimetoran (BMS-986256). BMS-905 has demonstrated robust, dose-dependent efficacy in preclinical models of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and lupus nephritis, where it suppresses kidney inflammation, autoantibodies, and interferon-response genes by blocking TLR7/8-mediated NFκB and IRF signaling.
