Overview

BMS-986515 is an **allogeneic CD19-targeted chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapy** product, developed from healthy donor T cells and engineered to express a CAR specific for the B-lymphocyte antigen CD19. It is designed as an off-the-shelf ("healthy donor") cell therapy for the treatment of autoimmune diseases, with the goal of providing immunomodulation by targeting and depleting CD19-expressing B cells, which play a key role in autoimmune pathophysiology. The therapy is being developed by Juno Therapeutics, a subsidiary of Bristol Myers Squibb, and is currently in phase 1 clinical development for various severe, refractory autoimmune indications[1][3][5].
