Overview

BMX-IN-1 is a potent, selective, and irreversible small molecule inhibitor of **Bone marrow X-linked kinase (BMX)**, also known as **Etk**. It belongs to the Tec family of non-receptor tyrosine kinases. BMX-IN-1 functions by covalently binding to the kinase domain of BMX, effectively blocking its catalytic activity. Preclinical studies demonstrate that BMX-IN-1 inhibits cell proliferation and induces cell cycle arrest at the G0/G1 phase in various cancer models, including cervical and prostate carcinomas. By inhibiting BMX, the compound suppresses the activation of critical downstream oncogenic signaling pathways, specifically the **PI3K/AKT/mTOR** and **STAT3** pathways. It is widely utilized as a chemical probe in oncology research to investigate the role of BMX in tumor progression, survival, and migration.
