**BNC-LP-CDDP** is an experimental hepatocyte-targeted nanoparticle formulation of **cisplatin** for hepatocellular carcinoma. It combines liposomal cisplatin with a bio-nanocapsule carrier based on hepatitis B virus surface antigen L protein, designed to recognize human hepatic cells and release cisplatin intracellularly. The released cisplatin forms cytotoxic DNA crosslinks, and the formulation was evaluated as a radiosensitizing chemotherapy approach with ionizing radiation. In hepatocellular carcinoma cell and mouse xenograft studies, BNC-LP-CDDP plus radiation enhanced tumor-growth inhibition and reduced cisplatin-associated nephrotoxicity relative to conventional cisplatin exposure. It remains a preclinical research formulation without identified clinical development or marketing evidence.
