Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BND-002 is a humanized IgG1 monoclonal antibody that targets the Interleukin-1 Receptor Accessory Protein (IL1RAP). Developed by Beyond Biopharma, it is designed to treat advanced solid tumors by inhibiting the signaling of IL-1, IL-33, and IL-36, which are key drivers of inflammation and tumor progression within the tumor microenvironment. By blocking IL1RAP, BND-002 disrupts the pro-tumorigenic effects of these cytokines and promotes an anti-tumor immune response. Furthermore, the antibody is Fc-engineered to enhance antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC), allowing for the direct killing of IL1RAP-expressing cancer cells and myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs). It is currently undergoing Phase 1 clinical evaluation.
