Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BND-35 is a humanized IgG4 monoclonal antibody that acts as an antagonist of the Ig-like transcript 3 (ILT3, also known as LILRB4) receptor. It is being developed by Biond Biologics for the treatment of solid tumors characterized by a suppressive tumor microenvironment. ILT3 is expressed on various suppressive myeloid cells within the tumor microenvironment, where its interaction with ligands maintains immunosuppression and inhibits anti-tumor immune responses. By blocking ILT3/LILRB4 and its ligands, BND-35 enhances pro-inflammatory activity in myeloid cells, restores T cell and NK cell function, and promotes anti-tumor immunity. Preclinical studies have shown that BND-35 can be effective both as monotherapy and in combination with checkpoint inhibitors (such as anti-PD-1/PD-L1 agents) or EGFR inhibitors (such as cetuximab). The drug is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials for patients with advanced solid tumors[1][2][4][5][6].
