Overview

BND6482 is a preclinical-stage RNA-peptide bioconjugate developed by Bound Therapeutics. It functions as an antisense oligonucleotide (ASO) designed to target and inhibit microRNA-21 (miR-21), a well-known oncogenic microRNA that is frequently overexpressed in various malignancies. By silencing miR-21, BND6482 aims to restore the expression of tumor suppressor genes and inhibit cancer cell proliferation, migration, and survival. The drug utilizes a proprietary peptide-based delivery platform to enhance the uptake and stability of the ASO. Initial development is focused on aggressive and triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), with preclinical data demonstrating efficacy and safety in mouse models. Bound Therapeutics plans to expand the platform to other solid tumors, including lung, colon, prostate, and brain cancers.
