Overview
BNP105 is a phytotherapeutic oral suspension developed by EMS (under its Bionatus brand) for the treatment of recurrent aphthous stomatitis (canker sores). It is a combination of three plant extracts: *Polygonum punctatum* (25 mg), *Calendula officinalis* (25 mg), and *Malva sylvestris* (15 mg). *Polygonum punctatum* (dotted smartweed) provides anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties; *Calendula officinalis* (pot marigold) promotes mucosal healing and offers antimicrobial activity; and *Malva sylvestris* (common mallow) acts as a demulcent to soothe and protect the oral mucosa. The suspension is designed to be applied topically to oral ulcers to reduce pain and accelerate healing.
