Overview

**BNT162b6 Bivalent** is an investigational BioNTech/Pfizer RNA-based COVID-19 vaccine candidate evaluated as a 30-microgram bivalent formulation encoding SARS-CoV-2 spike antigens from the ancestral original strain and the Omicron BA.4/BA.5 lineage. It is one of several distinct BNT162b candidates designed with differing prefusion-stabilized spike versions. The vaccine is intended to induce spike-specific neutralizing antibody and cellular immune responses for prevention of COVID-19. It was studied in Cohort 4 of the completed Phase 1/2/3 C4591044 trial in COVID-19-vaccine-experienced healthy adults.
