Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**BNT165e** is BioNTech's investigational multi-antigen, lipid nanoparticle-formulated mRNA vaccine for prevention of *Plasmodium falciparum* malaria. The product contains three distinct RNA components: BNT165c, which encodes the full *P. falciparum* circumsporozoite protein, and BNT165d1 plus BNT165d2, which encode conserved immunogenic segments of liver-stage-expressed *P. falciparum* proteins. Vaccination is intended to induce protective immune responses against parasite antigens expressed during the pre-erythrocytic liver stage. BNT165e was evaluated in the randomized Phase I/IIa BNT165-02 trial in healthy malaria-naive adults.
