Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BNT3219 (also known as PM1092) is an investigational bispecific monoclonal antibody targeting C-C chemokine receptor type 8 (CCR8) and cytotoxic T-lymphocyte protein 4 (CTLA-4). Originally developed by Biotheus, the asset became part of BioNTech's pipeline following its acquisition of Biotheus in February 2025. BNT3219 is designed to selectively deplete immunosuppressive regulatory T cells (Tregs) in the tumor microenvironment via CCR8 targeting while simultaneously blocking the CTLA-4 checkpoint pathway to enhance anti-tumor T-cell responses. It is currently being evaluated in a Phase I/Ib clinical trial as a monotherapy or in combination with other investigational therapies for patients with advanced solid tumors.
