BNT351

BNT351 is a broadly neutralizing monoclonal antibody (bNAb) being developed by BioNTech SE for the treatment and prevention of HIV-1 infection. As a bNAb, it is designed to target highly conserved regions of the HIV-1 envelope glycoprotein (Env), which is the primary protein responsible for viral attachment and entry into host CD4+ T cells. By binding to these epitopes, BNT351 neutralizes a wide range of HIV-1 viral strains and prevents the infection of new cells. The drug is currently being evaluated in a Phase 1 first-in-human clinical trial to assess its safety, pharmacokinetics, and antiviral activity in both healthy volunteers and people living with HIV (PLWH), with administration via intravenous infusion or subcutaneous injection.
