Overview

BNX-E4 is a recombinant protein therapeutic currently in the IND-enabling stage of development by Bionoxx for the treatment of Systemic Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (SJIA). Developed using Bionoxx's proprietary Immune Equalizer™ platform, BNX-E4 is designed to modulate the immune system by inhibiting interleukin-1 (IL-1) signaling. As SJIA is a severe autoinflammatory disease driven by the overproduction of pro-inflammatory cytokines, BNX-E4 functions as a long-acting interleukin-1 receptor antagonist (IL-1Ra) to neutralize the activity of IL-1 alpha and IL-1 beta. The candidate is the most advanced program in Bionoxx's immunology pipeline and aims to provide a more convenient dosing schedule compared to existing short-acting IL-1 inhibitors.
