Overview
Bocidelpar is an orally bioavailable small molecule modulator of peroxisome proliferator–activated receptor delta (PPARδ). It is being developed primarily for the treatment of mitochondrial myopathies, with additional clinical development in chronic fatigue syndrome and Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Bocidelpar acts by activating the PPARδ pathway, which regulates genes involved in mitochondrial biogenesis and function, aiming to improve muscle function at a cellular level. The drug was originally developed by Mitobridge, now a subsidiary of Astellas Pharma[2][4][5][6].
