Overview

Bolden Therapeutics is developing a preclinical-stage therapeutic program aimed at stimulating adult neurogenesis to treat a variety of central nervous system (CNS) disorders. The lead approach utilizes antisense oligonucleotides (ASOs) that employ an exon-skipping mechanism to modulate a novel, undisclosed signaling pathway. This pathway is designed to activate endogenous neural stem cells, promoting the generation of new neurons in the adult brain. The program is being investigated for indications including Alzheimer's disease, stroke recovery, treatment-resistant depression, Huntington's disease, Parkinson's disease, and cognitive impairment following chemotherapy or COVID-19. In addition to ASOs, the company is developing monoclonal antibodies in parallel to target the same neurogenic pathway.
