Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Bondlido (MRX-5LBT) is a lidocaine topical patch developed by MEDRx Group in collaboration with D. Western Therapeutics Institute. It utilizes the proprietary Ionic Liquid Transdermal System (ILTS) technology, which leverages ionic liquid expertise to improve drug solubility and skin permeability while ensuring firm adhesion and reduced skin irritation. The active ingredient, lidocaine, is a small molecule local anesthetic that blocks voltage-gated sodium channels, thereby inhibiting the initiation and conduction of nerve impulses to provide relief from neuropathic pain. Bondlido was approved by the FDA in September 2025 for the treatment of post-herpetic neuralgia in adults. Each patch contains 200mg of lidocaine in a drug-in-adhesive delivery system.
