Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination therapy using mesenchymal stem cells derived from both bone marrow (BM-MSCs) and adipose tissue (AD-MSCs/AT-MSCs). This combination has shown synergistic effects in bone repair and regeneration, with enhanced results when BM-MSCs are injected prior to AT-MSCs[1]. The therapy leverages the complementary properties of both cell types - BM-MSCs having stronger osteogenic potential and AT-MSCs being easier to harvest with higher yields[2]. It is being investigated for treating bone defects[1], osteoarthritis[3], and potentially enhancing radiotherapy effects in hepatocellular carcinoma[5].
