This is a combination regenerative therapy composed of three components: - Bone marrow stem cells concentrate, which provides mesenchymal stem cells and progenitor cells capable of differentiating into various cell types to promote tissue regeneration. - Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF), an autologous blood-derived biomaterial rich in platelets, leukocytes, growth factors, and a fibrin matrix that acts as a scaffold for tissue healing and supports the activity of local or transplanted stem cells[1][2][4]. - Bone graft material (which may be autograft, allograft, xenograft, or synthetic), serving as an osteoconductive scaffold to support new bone formation. The combination is used primarily in orthopedic surgery and oral/maxillofacial surgery to enhance bone regeneration and accelerate healing. The mechanism involves synergistic effects where PRF provides sustained release of growth factors (such as PDGF, TGF-β, VEGF) that stimulate both endogenous repair processes and the activity/differentiation of transplanted or resident stem cells. The bone graft offers structural support for new tissue ingrowth[1][2]. This approach is considered a form of advanced cell therapy/tissue engineering.
