Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Boneflex is a multi-ingredient nutritional supplement developed and marketed by Geneith Pharmaceuticals, a Nigerian pharmaceutical company. It is specifically formulated to support joint health and manage symptoms associated with degenerative and inflammatory joint conditions, such as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. The standard Boneflex formulation contains glucosamine, chondroitin, and omega-3 fish oil, which provide structural components for cartilage maintenance and exert mild anti-inflammatory effects. The enhanced version, Boneflex Forte, includes a broader array of active ingredients such as marine collagen peptides, Avocado Soybean Unsaponifiables (ASU), Boswellia serrata (standardized to 30% AKBA), curcumin, and ginger root extract. These additional components target multiple inflammatory pathways, including the inhibition of 5-lipoxygenase (5-LOX) and cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, as well as the modulation of NF-kappaB signaling. Boneflex is primarily recommended for adults over the age of 40 to maintain joint mobility and reduce pain.
