Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Bontone is an oral combination mineral and vitamin supplement developed and marketed by Swastik Life Sciences (under its SKG Internationals division) in India. It is formulated as a tablet containing calcium citrate, cholecalciferol (vitamin D3), zinc sulfate, and magnesium. Bontone is indicated for the prevention and treatment of calcium deficiency, and to support bone health in conditions such as osteoporosis and osteomalacia. Calcium citrate provides highly bioavailable calcium to support bone mineralization, while cholecalciferol enhances intestinal calcium absorption by binding to the vitamin D receptor (VDR). Zinc and magnesium serve as essential mineral cofactors that support bone formation, osteoblast activity, and overall bone density.
