Overview

Boserolimab is a humanized monoclonal antibody that targets and activates the cell surface antigen CD27, a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily expressed on various immune cells including most T lymphocytes. By binding to CD27, boserolimab acts as an agonist to stimulate T-cell activation and proliferation, thereby enhancing antitumor immune responses. It also exerts antineoplastic effects through mechanisms such as antibody-dependent cell cytotoxicity (ADCC). Boserolimab is being developed primarily for the treatment of advanced solid tumors—including non-small cell lung cancer and triple-negative breast cancer—and is administered intravenously. The drug was originally developed by BioNovion and is currently being developed by Merck Sharp & Dohme under license from Chinook Therapeutics.
