Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination therapy consisting of three agents: - **Boserolimab** (MK-5890): A humanized monoclonal antibody that acts as an agonist of CD27. By stimulating CD27 on T cells, it enhances immune activation against tumors. It is being developed for use in advanced solid tumors and certain cancers such as non-small cell lung cancer and triple-negative breast cancer[2][3][7]. - **Nab-paclitaxel** (nanoparticle albumin-bound paclitaxel): A formulation of the chemotherapy drug paclitaxel bound to albumin nanoparticles to improve delivery and reduce toxicity. It disrupts microtubule function in dividing cells, leading to cell death. - **Pembrolizumab**: A humanized monoclonal antibody targeting programmed death receptor 1 (PD-1), acting as an immune checkpoint inhibitor to enhance anti-tumor immunity by blocking PD-1-mediated inhibition of T-cell activity[8][10]. This combination is under investigation for synergistic effects in treating advanced solid tumors and specific cancers such as triple-negative breast cancer.
