Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BosPure is a standardized botanical extract derived from the resin of *Boswellia serrata* (Indian frankincense). It is characterized by a high concentration of Acetyl-11-Keto-Boswellic Acid (AKBA), typically standardized to 10%, and a total boswellic acid content of at least 75%. Unlike conventional Boswellia extracts, BosPure is specifically processed to remove or minimize beta-boswellic acids, which are thought to have pro-inflammatory properties. Its primary mechanism of action involves the inhibition of 5-lipoxygenase (5-LOX), an enzyme responsible for the production of pro-inflammatory leukotrienes. Developed by Arjuna Natural and distributed by Dolcas-Biotech, it is primarily used as a dietary supplement ingredient for supporting joint health, respiratory function, and gastrointestinal comfort.
