BoviPure-FSH

BoviPure-FSH is a recombinant single-chain follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) analog developed by AspenBio Pharma for veterinary use in cattle. Designed to facilitate super-ovulation for embryo transfer in both dairy and beef cows, the drug acts as an agonist at the follicle-stimulating hormone receptor (FSHR). Its primary innovation was a single-dose formulation intended to replace the traditional eight-dose regimen of animal-derived FSH, which typically requires injections every 12 hours over four days. Although AspenBio Pharma sought to advance the drug through the FDA approval process in the mid-2000s, the trademark was eventually abandoned, and the product is no longer in active development.
