Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BOW090 is a proposed biosimilar of ustekinumab, a fully human IgG1 kappa monoclonal antibody that targets the p40 subunit shared by interleukin‑12 (IL‑12) and interleukin‑23 (IL‑23), thereby inhibiting downstream Th1 and Th17 inflammatory pathways. It was developed in the preclinical stage within the Bioceros CHOBC platform and acquired by Epirus Biopharmaceuticals as part of an expanded biosimilar pipeline, with the intent to mirror ustekinumab’s use in inflammatory and immune‑mediated disorders such as psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, and Crohn’s disease.[4][10][7][12]
