BOX202-1 is a once-monthly (1M) long-acting injectable (LAI) formulation of brexpiprazole, developed by Bostal Pharma (Bostal Drug Delivery) using its proprietary in-situ gel-forming depot technology (Geleepot®). Brexpiprazole is an atypical antipsychotic that acts as a partial agonist at dopamine D2 and serotonin 5-HT1A receptors, and as an antagonist at serotonin 5-HT2A receptors. BOX202-1 is designed to improve treatment adherence and provide sustained symptom control in patients with schizophrenia and agitation associated with dementia due to Alzheimer's disease. It is currently in Phase 2/3 clinical development.
