It is primarily being investigated for the treatment of alcohol use disorder (AUD) and fatigue, including post-stroke fatigue. Preclinical studies in rats have shown that BP1.3656 significantly decreases alcohol self-administration in alcohol-dependent rats and reduces reinstatement behaviors.
