Overview

BPI-9206 is a bispecific monoclonal antibody developed by Beta Pharma that simultaneously targets CD47 and Programmed Death-Ligand 1 (PD-L1). CD47 is a cell surface protein that acts as a "don't eat me" signal, allowing cancer cells to evade phagocytosis by macrophages. PD-L1 is a well-characterized immune checkpoint that suppresses T-cell activation. By blocking both CD47 and PD-L1, BPI-9206 is designed to synergistically activate both the innate and adaptive immune systems to recognize and eliminate tumor cells. It is currently in early-stage development for the treatment of solid tumors.
