Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BPM 31510 is a first-in-class small molecule drug-lipid conjugate nanodispersion containing oxidized Coenzyme Q10 (ubidecarenone). It is designed to target dysregulated cancer metabolism by reversing the Warburg effect—shifting tumor cell energy production from glycolysis back to mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation. This metabolic reprogramming induces apoptosis in cancer cells and enhances the efficacy of standard chemotherapies. BPM 31510 has demonstrated anti-tumor activity and a favorable safety profile as both monotherapy and in combination with agents such as gemcitabine, docetaxel, and 5-fluorouracil. The drug is being developed for advanced solid tumors including pancreatic cancer and glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), with ongoing Phase II trials. It has received orphan drug designation from the FDA for certain indications[3][4][5][6][7][8].
