Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BPM-RSV-002 is a neutralizing monoclonal antibody being developed by Baiya Phytopharm for the prevention and treatment of Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) infection. It specifically targets the RSV fusion (F) protein, a critical component that mediates the fusion of the viral envelope with the host cell membrane, thereby allowing viral entry. By binding to the F protein, BPM-RSV-002 neutralizes the virus and prevents infection of host cells. The candidate is produced using Baiya Phytopharm's proprietary plant-based protein expression platform (BaiyaPharming) and is currently in preclinical development.
