Overview

BPR-30160639 is a therapeutic vaccine candidate developed by Chengdu Betterma Biopharmaceutical for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B (CHB). It is currently being evaluated in a Phase Ia/Ib clinical trial (CTR20262855) in China, which is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study involving healthy volunteers and HBeAg-negative CHB patients who have achieved virologic suppression on nucleos(t)ide analog (NA) therapy. The vaccine is administered via subcutaneous injection and is designed to stimulate the host's immune system, specifically targeting the induction of HBV-specific immune responses to facilitate a functional cure, defined by the sustained loss of hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg).
