Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BPS-001 is an investigational, multimodal biologic drug candidate being developed by Biopep Solutions for the treatment of metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) and other solid tumors, including breast and ovarian cancers. It is characterized as a complex, heterogeneous biologic extract containing multiple active peptide and protein components. BPS-001 functions through a multivalent mechanism of action that simultaneously inhibits angiogenesis, promotes cancer cell apoptosis, and modulates various inflammatory pathways. Preclinical studies have demonstrated its efficacy against several prostate cancer cell lines (LNCaP, PC3, 22RV1, TRAMP-C2) and triple-negative breast cancer models. The drug is currently in the IND-enabling phase, with clinical development planned for Phase 1/2 trials to evaluate safety and preliminary anticancer activity.
