Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BPYT-01 is a long-acting glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist developed by Baiji Youtang (Guangdong) Pharmaceutical Technology Co., Ltd. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of obesity and overweight, as well as type 2 diabetes mellitus. The drug functions by activating the GLP-1 receptor, which enhances glucose-dependent insulin secretion, suppresses glucagon secretion, and delays gastric emptying. These actions collectively lead to improved glycemic control and significant weight reduction through increased satiety and reduced caloric intake. BPYT-01 is currently undergoing clinical evaluation to establish its safety and efficacy profile in metabolic health.
