Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BQ-A is an experimental biologic peptide extract developed by Bioquark Inc., derived from the cytoplasm of oocytes (ooplasms). It contains a complex mixture of bioactive molecules, including microRNAs and proteins, designed to induce neuronal regeneration and cellular reprogramming. The therapy is intended to nurture the growth of new neurons and revert damaged cells into a stem cell-like state. BQ-A is the central component of the ReAnima Project, a controversial multimodality clinical protocol aimed at reversing brain death in patients with traumatic brain injury. It is administered via intrathecal injection and has been studied in combination with mesenchymal stem cells and various stimulation devices.
