Overview

BR-DA02 is an investigational cell therapy developed by BlueRock Therapeutics for the treatment of Parkinson's disease. It consists of dopaminergic neuron progenitor cells, designed to replace the dopamine-producing neurons lost in Parkinson’s disease. The therapy involves implanting these neuron precursors, derived from pluripotent stem cells (likely human embryonic stem cells), into the brain, where they are intended to mature into functional dopamine neurons and potentially restore both motor and non-motor function in patients. As of March 2025, BR-DA02 remains in preclinical development with its primary indication being Parkinson’s disease within the therapeutic area of nervous system diseases[1][4].
