BRAIN-THROUGH is a preclinical-stage autologous cell and gene therapy platform developed by EPOS-IASIS for the treatment of malignant gliomas, including glioblastoma multiforme (GBM). The therapy utilizes induced neural stem cells (iNSCs) generated from a patient's own fibroblasts. These iNSCs are genetically engineered to express multipotent micro-RNA sequences designed to simultaneously target multiple oncogenic driver pathways. The engineered cells leverage the natural tumor-homing capabilities of neural stem cells to traverse the blood-brain barrier and deliver the therapeutic micro-RNA cargo directly to the tumor site. This fully autologous approach aims to minimize immunogenicity while providing a targeted molecular intervention for aggressive brain malignancies.
