Overview

BrainMax is a combination neuroprotective pharmaceutical developed by Promomed, LLC, consisting of two active ingredients: ethyl methyl hydroxypyridine succinate (also known as Mexidol) and meldonium dihydrate. The drug is designed to leverage the synergistic effects of its components to provide neuroprotection, neuroregeneration, and neuroactivation. It works by optimizing energy production, protecting nervous system cells from hypoxia and oxidative stress, and restoring functional activity. BrainMax is primarily indicated for the treatment of asthenia (chronic fatigue), particularly post-COVID-19 asthenic syndrome, as well as acute and chronic cerebrovascular diseases, mild cognitive impairment, and reduced physical or mental performance. The treatment regimen typically involves a sequential therapy starting with a solution for intravenous or intramuscular administration, followed by an oral capsule formulation.
