Overview

Brassica juncea extract (BJE) is a natural product derived from the Brassica juncea plant, currently under investigation for its potential anti-obesogenic properties. Preclinical studies suggest that BJE may inhibit lipid accumulation by suppressing the protein expression of both the glucocorticoid receptor (GR) and peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-gamma (PPAR-γ). This mechanism of action positions BJE as a potential agent to counteract obesogen-induced adipocyte differentiation, such as that caused by bisphenol A (BPA).
