The **Brazilian conjugated meningococcal C vaccine** (brand/development name: **MenCC-Bio**) is a monovalent conjugate vaccine developed by Bio-Manguinhos/Fiocruz (Oswaldo Cruz Foundation) in Brazil to prevent meningococcal disease caused by *Neisseria meningitidis* serogroup C. The vaccine consists of meningococcal C capsular polysaccharide (strain 2135) chemically conjugated to a monomeric tetanus toxoid carrier protein via a modified reductive amination method, and is formulated with an aluminum hydroxide adjuvant. It is designed to elicit a T-cell dependent immune response and establish immunological memory against serogroup C meningococcal infections. The vaccine has completed Phase I and Phase II clinical trials, and has been evaluated in a Phase II/III trial in infants, children, and adolescents in Brazil, demonstrating safety and robust immunogenicity.
