BRC-OA is a cryopreserved, devitalized human adipose tissue allograft developed by Britecyte, Inc. for the treatment of pain associated with osteoarthritis, particularly of the knee. Unlike live cell therapies, BRC-OA consists of a devitalized particulate that preserves the natural tissue architecture, extracellular matrix (ECM), and endogenous signaling molecules of human adipose tissue. It is designed to provide structural support and a regenerative microenvironment when injected intra-articularly, aiming to alleviate pain and potentially improve joint function in patients with mild to severe osteoarthritis. The product is currently being evaluated in Phase 1/2a clinical trials to assess its safety and initial efficacy.
