Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BRD-02 is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy targeting the CD30 antigen (TNFRSF8), developed by Wuhan Boruida Biotechnology. The therapy involves the ex vivo genetic modification of a patient's own T cells to express a CAR that specifically recognizes CD30, a protein highly expressed on the surface of Reed-Sternberg cells in Hodgkin's lymphoma and in anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL). Upon re-infusion, these engineered T cells bind to CD30-positive tumor cells, leading to T-cell activation, proliferation, and targeted cytotoxicity. BRD-02 is currently being evaluated in clinical trials for patients with relapsed or refractory CD30+ hematological malignancies, including Hodgkin's lymphoma and various subtypes of non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
