Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BRE-MI01 is an exosome-based therapeutic candidate developed by Brexogen for the treatment of myocardial infarction. Utilizing the proprietary BG-Platform, the drug consists of exosomes (BxC-R11e) derived from tissue regeneration-enhanced stem cells (BxC-R11) that have been primed with a specific compound to enhance their cardioprotective properties. As a cell-free regenerative medicine, BRE-MI01 is designed to deliver therapeutic cargo to the heart to promote tissue repair and recovery following an ischemic event. It is currently in preclinical development, with plans to enter clinical trials in the United States.
