Overview

**BReC-CoV-2** is a preclinical intranasal COVID-19 vaccine developed by TollereBio. The prototype vaccine combines SARS-CoV-2 receptor-binding domain antigen conjugated to the diphtheria-toxoid carrier protein EcoCRM with the BECC470 bacterial enzymatic combinatorial chemistry adjuvant, a Toll-like receptor 4 agonist. In K18-hACE2 mouse studies, intranasal vaccination elicited mucosal and systemic immune responses, including respiratory-tissue IgA and neutralizing antibodies, and protected against lethal SARS-CoV-2 challenge.
