Overview
Breeze Detoxification Capsules, also known as 疏风解毒胶囊 (Shufeng Jiedu Jiaonang), is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) compound preparation. It is composed of eight herbal ingredients: Hu Zhang, Lian Qiao, Ban Lan Gen, Chai Hu, Bai Jiang Cao, Ma Bian Cao, Lu Gen, and Gan Cao. It is indicated for dispelling wind and clearing heat, detoxifying, and benefiting the throat, primarily used for acute upper respiratory tract infections of the wind-heat syndrome type. Modern pharmacological studies suggest it possesses anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, immune-modulating, and antiviral properties. It has been recommended for the treatment of COVID-19 in China.
