Overview

**Bremzalerbart** is a human IgG4 monoclonal antibody that specifically binds to Bet v 1, the major allergenic protein from birch pollen (Betula species). It is designed to block Bet v 1-mediated allergic reactions, thereby reducing symptoms of birch pollen-induced allergic diseases such as allergic rhinitis and conjunctivitis. Bremzalerbart is one component of the clinical mixture REGN5713-5714-5715 and is being developed primarily for immune-mediated/inflammatory disorders such as seasonal allergic rhinitis and conjunctivitis. Its mechanism of action is direct inhibition of Bet v 1, preventing allergen-induced IgE cross-linking on mast cells and basophils, which in turn reduces histamine and other mediator release implicated in allergy symptoms[1][2][3][4].
