Overview
Breztri Aerosphere is a combination inhaler containing three active ingredients: budesonide (an inhaled corticosteroid), glycopyrrolate (a long-acting muscarinic antagonist/anticholinergic), and formoterol fumarate (a long-acting beta2-adrenergic agonist). It is used for the maintenance treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including chronic bronchitis and emphysema. The three medications work together to reduce inflammation, relax airway muscles, and make breathing easier. Budesonide reduces inflammation and swelling in the lungs, glycopyrrolate blocks acetylcholine to relax airway muscles, and formoterol relaxes the muscles in the lungs to open up airways. Breztri Aerosphere is not indicated for the relief of acute bronchospasm or for the treatment of asthma.
