Bria-Mel

Bria-Mel is an off-the-shelf, whole-cell immunotherapy developed by BriaCell Therapeutics for the treatment of melanoma. Utilizing BriaCell's proprietary HLA-matching platform, the therapy consists of genetically engineered tumor cells designed to express multiple tumor antigens and secrete granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF). This approach is intended to stimulate a potent anti-tumor immune response by matching the patient's human leukocyte antigen (HLA) type with the immunotherapy to identify those most likely to respond. It is administered via intradermal injection and is currently in the preclinical development stage, representing an expansion of BriaCell's breast cancer platform technology into other solid tumor indications.
