Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Bria-OTS 2.0 is a next-generation, off-the-shelf (OTS) personalized immunotherapy developed by BriaCell Therapeutics for the treatment of advanced breast cancer and other solid tumors. Building upon the first-generation Bria-OTS platform, version 2.0 utilizes a library of genetically engineered, irradiated human breast cancer cell lines (derived from the SV-BR-1-GM line) that are matched to a patient's specific Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) type. These cells are engineered to secrete Granulocyte-Macrophage Colony-Stimulating Factor (GM-CSF) and express co-stimulatory molecules to enhance the activation of the patient's immune system. By presenting tumor-associated antigens directly to T cells in an HLA-matched context, Bria-OTS 2.0 aims to induce a potent, tumor-specific cytotoxic T-cell response. The 2.0 version is designed to provide broader population coverage and enhanced immunostimulatory properties compared to its predecessor, offering a personalized treatment approach without the logistical complexities of patient-specific manufacturing.
